Honed over decades, our one-on-one tutoring approach is all about building a nurturing environment. BLC students are fully supported as they sharpen their skills and develop powerful learning habits. Whether they are reluctant learners or students who feel under-challenged by a school curriculum, we support their unique goals and ensure every student unlocks their full academic potential. BLC students build the confidence and curiosity they need for a lifetime of resilience and discovery.
Our thoughtful tutoring style comes from the belief that exceptional learning starts with responsive teaching. We pride ourselves on carefully assessing where each student is, how they learn best, and exactly what they need to reach their goals.
We ensure our tutors are subject matter experts. All of our incoming tutors have undergone a thorough our self-designed aptitude test and an interview to measure their aptitude. Our tutors share ideas and consult with one another as a team in order to bring each student the best possible learning experience.
Our deep roots in the greater Eastside community mean we know each school, public and private, and their curricula inside and out. We know how to work in tandem with what students are already learning in order to hone grade level skills and nurture those ready to move beyond a standard curriculum.
In addition to our in-person lessons, we offer remote lessons via video call to meet the needs of all students as they prepare for standardized tests, and nurture their educational goals.
